Once upon a time, in a deep jungle there lived a golden goat. He was as big as a pony and his strength equalled that of a bull. He had two sharp, pointed horns. He had golden hair that shone brightly in the sunlight. Even the powerful animals like lions and tigers were afraid of this goat and tried to keep away from him.
One day, a lion saw the golden goat in a farmer’s garden on the outskirts of a village. The goat was eating the leaves of vegetables growing in the garden. As soon as the farmer saw the goat, he started beating him with a stick and drove him out of the garden. The goat ran out of the garden, bleating.
The lion who was watching this wondered, “How can an animal that eats grass be stronger than me?” As soon as the goat came out of the garden, the lion pounced on him. He killed the goat in one go and ate him.
The moral of this story is that one should keep his eating habits and personal traits a secret.
