Storyville Story Box – Activity Box Review

Storyville Story Box – Activity Box Review

Children can bring to life their stories with the ‘Storyville Story Box’. Each box contains a board mapping out the town of Storyville, wooden character pieces and a set of 6 stories written by the Story Merchants. The colours on the board are vivid and the characters and backgrounds are well illustrated. This game is a great way to develop your child’s sense of creativity and imagination. By helping them create a narrative and improve their storytelling skills, this game can play a part in improving your child’s grasp over the language.

The game can be played with up to 5 players, each of whom can choose a character from the pieces provided in the box. As they roll the dice and progress forward, they pass through different sections of the town of Storyville. The story box comes with a set of stories as well as an instruction card – which offers parents suggestions on how to use the game and guide the children appropriately. Players can read through the stories written by the Story Merchants and enact them through the board, create their own stories using the board or even build on stories from cues given on the board. The Story Merchants ‘Storyville Story Box’ has limitless possibilities to engage children.
