“Serendipity” What does that mean?
Have you ever experienced an unexpected and fortunate event? Say you were cleaning out your room and happened to find some money in an old bag or jeans pocket. That’s serendipity! Pronounced [ser-uh n-dip-i-tee], the word was coined by Horace Walpole when he read The Three Princes of Serendip, because the princes in the story were always accidentally discovering good things that they weren’t even looking for. Can you think back to one of your best serendipitous experience?
