Rugged Rovers is a creative racing based game developed by the Science Museum in London. It provides players with a variety of tools to draw their rovers which can be used to navigate rugged and rocky space terrains. The terrain and concepts have been fashioned around the terrains of Mars and the rover tools also bear a resemblance to the Mars rover.
Players feel as though they are testing their rover prototypes on the terrain of Mars and have the option of resizing their wheels and moving their rover motors as per their designs. The rovers are also fitted with additional tools such as jet hovers and speed boosts to help players manoeuvre the rocky Mars-like terrain.
Bonuses in the game also involve the option to race against friends in your network and rovers designed by professionals. Mars rover designer Abbie Hutty has also contributed design inputs into some rovers featured in the game, making the experience even more exciting.
