Operation Escape E.V.I.L. – Toy Review

Escape E.V.I.L. is a board game geared towards developing an interest in the subject of chemistry in children. The premise of the game is a simple one – a group of scientists are stuck inside the E.V.I.L. (Earth Vision Industrial Laboratory) Headquarters. I order to escape, they have to use 1 of 16 magic tricks available to escape the warden who has trapped them. Through the course of the game, they have to roll the dice and collect the chemicals required for their chosen magic trick. By gathering all the pieces of their trick, they can distract the warden by performing their trick, and escape.

This board game is fun and involved, yet has undertones of educational content to help make the game a learning experience. The 16 magic trick cards make children aware of different tricks they can perform with easily available household items. These tricks are great for children to use as science projects as well. The game also comes with 45 exciting chemical cards. These cards are great as an educational tool to teach children about the exciting world of chemicals and their uses in household items.

The game comes with a set of illustrated instructions, making it easy for children to understand how to play. Prior knowledge of chemistry concepts is not required to play and enjoy the game. Rather, by playing the game, children can develop an interest in the subject of chemistry.
